Dr. Anna Daffara
Dr. Daffara is a feline veterinarian with an unrelenting passion and curiosity for feline care. Raised in a small city outside Indianapolis, Indiana, her passion and love for cats grew at an early age when she spent a lot of her free time with their family cats. She realized that cats are affectionate and each has a unique and endearing personality. Dr. Daffara was particularly drawn to feline medicine given the strong bond she developed with her own cat, Jerry, and the relative vulnerability to diseases and other complications they may face. Over the years, she has volunteered within numerous organizations including The Animal Coalition of Tampa TNR (trap, neuter, release program) and the Exotic Feline Rescue Center.
Dr. Daffara attended Indiana University, and then Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine completing the pre-clinical curriculum, and then attending Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine where she completed her 4th Year Clinical Curriculum. Alongside her veterinary studies, she was a member of the Feral Cat Project (spays/neuters) and also a research assistant for a pilot study on tick-borne diseases. She has received certificates in both Fear Free Practice Certification and Feline Friendly Handling Certification.
Her favorite part about being a feline veterinarian is educating clients and teaching them to be the best possible caregivers allowing their cat/s to thrive in their environment.
Her professional interests include dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and senior cat chronic condition management. Dr. Daffara understands the value of treating each cat individually with care and compassion.
Dr. Daffara has been a member of The American Association of Feline Practitioners for several years and attends yearly feline-based conferences to bring clients the most current knowledge for their feline companion. She is also a member of the Nevada Veterinary Medical Association (NVMA). When she is not attending to her professional engagements, Dr. Daffara enjoys traveling, paddle boarding, hiking, and spending time with Maggie (her 16-year-old kitty) and enjoying the sunshine within the state of Nevada.
